YIMANIA BROTHER, OOOOH YEAH
As they approached the frog pond, Sir Garett suddenly was both everywhere and nowhere. The frogs charged at the party, but Vizma managed to calm them down and the party continued on their merry way. As they were making camp, a will-o-wisp approached and the party promptly got the hell out of there. They scrambled further up the river and made camp there instead. The next day, they kept exploring and found the dead trapper the fairies had told them about, taking his masterwork handaxe for themselves. The rest of the day passed uneventfully, and the next morning they kept moving, encountering a grizzly bear which they perhaps unwisely decided to fight. Yi and the bear proceeded to have the manliest (and silliest) wrestling battle ever recorded, and with support from Vizma and damage from Nisha and Artesia the party managed to bring it down.
The party kept exploring, noticing the traps that the fairies had pointed out along the way. At Vizma's suggestion, and with only minor complaints from Artesia, the party decided to disarm all the traps in the area, taking them another day. On the 22nd of Pharast, the party moved back into the plains, finding nothing of any note. They then returned to Oleg's, being informed by Yulia that a payment from Brevoy had come in because they had taken care of the bandits at the Thorn River.
After shopping and resting, they went out into the wilds once more, this time with the priest Jhod following them. They were to head back to the Temple of Erastil to cleanse it, and encountered a Half-Orc hunter, who turned out to be quite friendly. Artesia revealed that they were responsible for killing the bandits in the area, and the hunter thanked them by giving them smoked rabbit sausages and bear jerky. She also revealed where the Fangberry thicket was before heading on her way. After an uneventful continued journey, they set up camp and continued on to the Temple, Jhod sanctifying it and promising them free spellcasting for life as thanks. They camped out and continued exploring the next day.
They come upon a pair of ruined stone buildings on the east bank of the river. As it turned out, there was a Boggard living there with its pet, a Slurk. Yi somehow managed to communicate with the creature, and it revealed in broken common that its name was Garum and the Slurk was Ubagub. Artesia very much wanted to kill these creatures as Boggards are usually evil, but the Yiplomacy prevailed and her Detect Evil showed nothing so they let it be and continued on.
The next day they come upon a boar's lair covered in bones, with Tuskgutter soon revealing itself and charging the party. Vizma cast Calm Animal and the party had time to prepare themselves, dispatching the woodland terror with ease. They spend some time preparing its body and cutting off its head as a trophy before setting up camp, enjoying some nice pig roast in the evening. The next day, they move on and come upon a fangberry patch in a valley between two hills. They set upon collecting the berries, remembering that Bokken wants them for potions, with Vizma doing the majority of foraging due to his druidic survivalist abilities. However, at the tail end of the task, a swarm of Chew Spiders crept out of the bushes and attacked the party. Nisha used her wand of Burning Hands to burn them to a crisp, while Vizma and Artesia created water to stop the Fangberry thicket from being destroyed.
In the night, the party were robbed by a gang of Mites, losing all their food and alcohol, as well as one of Yulia's poppets. They keep exploring, finding a rickety old bridge that Vizma helps them cross. Later in the day, they come upon the Old Sycamore, the home of the Mites...
